St.Agnes Well - Pemberton BC, Canada
I went to Vancouver 2 years ago and had the best camping experience ever. When we hit Whistler, we were all looking for hot springs in the area. One nice guy at the information desk of the village gave us a map for some hot springs around, about 1h30 away from Whistler going north. Why not?
To get there, simply do what I did and stop at Whistler for information about hot springs, the closest one being St. Agnes Well. Just don't think about the gravel road and go for it, it's totally worth it!
The camping ground was basically empty... we saw 2 other cars coming in, but it's so big that we didn't see them again after that. The camping is located on the river coming from glacier, so you can put up your tent right next to it.
Then the hot spring is 1 minute away, walking from the river and there are hot tubs already there for you to use. You can even control the temperature because there's a pipe that brings water from the river that's ice cold.
All of that for FREE! That's right, a sign at the entrance tells you that this is not a provincial camping ground, but a private one and donations are accepted, but feel free to use this place. Isn't that awesome?!
If you're in the Whistler area, definitely go to St. Agnes Well!
